Палестинци

Палестинци су народ који настањује историјску регију Палестина, односно данашњу државу Палестину, у којој чине већинско становништво, као и делове државе Израел, у којој су мањина у односу на Јевреје. Има их око 4.400.000, а знатан број их живи и у дијаспори - у Јордану, Кувајту, Сирији, Либану, Ираку и Катару. Говоре сиријско-палестински дијалект арапског језика, а по вери су претежно муслимани и мањим делом православни хришћани. Поред државе Палестине, чији је политички статус споран, арапски језик којим говоре Палестинци је и један од службених језика у Израелу, тако да су и у самом Израелу Палестинци фактички признати као државни народ, иако велики део Палестинаца не признаје државу Израел.
